FAQ

Straight answers to the questions we actually get.

If yours is not here, ask. We would rather answer it once properly than have you guess.

Contracts and services

Q

What kinds of federal contracts do you support?

Information technology, HVAC, plumbing, janitorial, waste management, facilities and equipment maintenance, grounds maintenance, multi-trade repairs, and moving and removal services — all scoped for federal clients.

Q

Can you run several service lines at once?

Yes. Running multiple lines under one contract is the normal case for us, and our field tooling was built for exactly that.

Q

Do you self-perform or subcontract?

Both, depending on the scope. APEX holds the contract and the compliance burden; qualified local trade partners perform work under our supervision, with quality control and documentation staying with us.

Q

How do you ensure contract compliance?

A written quality control plan, inspection records tied to each service event, transparent reporting, and experienced subcontractors who are onboarded to the same standards every time.

Certifications

Q

Are you a certified Women-Owned Small Business?

Yes. APEX is a certified WOSB. We are also pursuing HUBZone and 8(a) certification.

Q

Are you registered and ready for award?

Yes — active in SAM.gov with a UEI and CAGE code. Primary NAICS 561210, with additional facilities codes plus IT services (541511, 541512, 541519) and translation (541930).

Q

Can your personnel meet security requirements?

Yes. We follow federal security protocols for base access, badging, escort requirements, and the handling of sensitive information.

Working with us

Q

What is the APEX Control Tower Model?

Our name for holding every federal contracting function centrally — government interface, quality control, reporting, invoicing, compliance, and audit readiness — so the companies performing the work only have to perform the work.

Q

I am a trade contractor. What lands on me?

Daily work execution and staffing coverage. You provide inputs for reporting and supporting documentation for invoices. Everything else is ours. The full split is on the partner page.

Q

Do you charge for consulting up front?

It depends on the service. Hourly planning and the research report are paid directly; GSA Schedule onboarding is split 50% up front and 50% on award; and capture support when you are the prime is commission only, paid on award. Rates are published on the consulting page.

Q

Where do you work?

Hawaiʻi and the wider Indo-Pacific, with current performance at Marine Corps installations on Oʻahu.
